Happy Birthday Daddy!

Last weekend was Donny's birthday. We spent the day setting up his new fish tank. This required a trip to the pet store. Maya never turns down an opportunity to see animals. She really likes to watch the little white mice, that most people buy to feed their snakes. She likes watching them run around stepping all over each other and running in the wheel. She thinks they are funny.

We went to dinner at Meme & Granddad's house & brought the cake I made. Maya did a really good job singing happy birthday & helping Daddy blow out his candles.

Loving fall...

For those of you who haven't seen our yard, it's HUGE! So I decided to rake up some of the leaves that covered the walkway and around Maya's slide & playhouse. Maya was really enjoying running through the pile I made in the middle of the yard. So I thought I'd let her have a little more fun with them. I put a large pile right in front of her slide, so she could land in them.

Last year she was still a little young to play in the leaves, but this year she got her chance. She really seemed to have a good time. And we had fun just watching her.

First Lollipop

Just in case you didn't know, Maya is a HUGE fan of chocolate! Anytime she taste something with chocolate in it she says "Yummy, Yummy!" From her 1st time out "trick-or-treating," she got a few lollipops. We decided to let her try it out, as long as she promised to stay sitting the entire time she had it.

Immediately she stuck it in her mouth & started sucking on it. She knew exactly how she was supposed to eat it already. This particular lollipop was a "Tootsie Roll Pop," so she was even more excited to find that there was more chocolate inside! It was so cute, I just had to share.

Happy Halloweeen!!

I really thought that Maya was going to enjoy Halloween this year. Especially since we planned on letting her stop at a few doors for her 1st trick-or-treat. She liked the part about getting candy, but hating being forced to wear a costume. She just didn't understand that she looked so cute with the whole costume on.

As soon as I got the costume on her, the complaining began. We made her wear the whole thing just for pictures, then we took off the hat. It was a little better for her like that, but she still didn't want to wear it, period!

Our cute little butterfly!

As you can see by her expression, she was not very happy about all this.

Daddy and a not too happy, Maya on Halloween night. She was a little more excited about getting to go outside. So we stopped by a couple neighbor's houses to show her off. We only stopped at one door. Maya was such a good girl. She said "trick-or-treat" like she had been doing this already for a while, & and after she got to pick out her lollipops, she even said "Thank you."
